Introduction

LnLy ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our URL shortening service at lnly.pages.dev (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you use our Service, you submit URLs to be shortened. We store the mapping between your generated short slug and the original destination URL. We do not require or collect personal information such as your name, email address, or account credentials.

Automatically Collected Information

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard web server logs, which can include IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps. This data is used solely for infrastructure monitoring and security purposes and is managed by Cloudflare's own privacy policies.

How We Use Information

The URLs you submit are used exclusively to provide the URL shortening and redirection service. Specifically:

  • We store the short slug and its corresponding destination URL in our database.
  • When someone visits a short link, we look up the slug and redirect them to the destination URL.
  • We do not analyze, profile, or sell the URLs you submit.

Data Storage & Security

URL mappings are stored in Upstash Redis, a managed, encrypted database service. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption at rest. We do not store any personal identifiable information alongside your URLs.

Third-Party Services

Our Service relies on the following third-party providers:

  • Cloudflare Pages — hosting and content delivery
  • Upstash — database storage for URL mappings

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their respective policies.

Cookies

LnLy does not set any first-party cookies. Cloudflare may set security-related cookies (such as __cf_bm) to protect against bots and malicious traffic. These are strictly functional and not used for tracking or advertising.

Data Retention

Shortened URL mappings are stored indefinitely unless we need to remove them for policy violations (such as links to malicious or illegal content). We reserve the right to remove any URL mapping at our discretion.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data for us to disclose, modify, or delete on your behalf. If you believe a specific shortened URL should be removed, please contact us.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used our service inappropriately, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
